Did you know you could dial 100 to find out information about places and stuff? It's soooo cool! I didn't know until today.

Oh I went to the zoo today. Everything there is so overpriced I tell you. One bottle of cola costs $3!!! ._. PLUS the exorbitant entrance fee of $18. It's so ridiculous. Hmph. But I saw the Bengal White Tigers which are the COOLEST. COOLEST I TELL YOU. Tigers are cool :) And snakes are cool too :)

Hmm.

Oh yes. About the next Charlie outing. The reason I'm taking so long to plan is because I realise that the N level students like Vivian etc have already started school and according to her school life is ALREADY very busy. So they are most likely not able to come for outings... And now everyone's schedules are clashing. Saturday isn't a good day for some, and Sunday isn't a good day for others ._. So you see the potential problems.

Well, I was thinking of CNY, but I realise that most of the Chinese population will have family priorities (and I might be in KL the whole time) so that's also not a good idea.

So far the only likely time is the MARCH HOLIDAYS, which is sooooooooooooooooooo far away!

Now you comprehend my predicament. If anyone has any ideas do let me know yeah.

Hmm.

I know many of you don't read this blog anymore. That's why I'm writing here! So I can tell you guys stuff without you guys knowing!

Okay that didn't make sense. Ah well.

Another year come and gone. It's been more than a year since we've known each other. Does anyone still remember the times we proudly wore the blue shirts and yelled out the name CHARLIE during natcamp? I miss those days:)

And yet, I've learnt so much from you guys! I realise my school environment is extremely sheltered. Believe it or not, I had NO idea what "fly kite" meant, not to mention all the other words like poser, kena suan etc! I seriously owe you guys. All those retarded/amusing tricks like the Johnny thingy, the Bangbang who died one, etc... I had a great time vexing my friends after that :) For that, you guys have my thanks. For friendships made and pleasures shared, as my school motto says.

Now here's the sad truth: Charlie is shrinking. And you guys know it. Many people have become uncontactable, with fewer and fewer people coming for outings... However, every grey cloud has a silver lining. There are people who faithfully come for almost every outing! :) I shall not list the names because I'm sure to miss out some people. But anyway you guys know who you are. So thanks to you guys, Charlie still survives while all other groups have slowly faded into oblivion...

Needless to say, I enjoy every outing! I don't know how many people noticed, but I was grinning like a mad person most of the time during the last outing at Safra Yishun/Northpoint. :D Even though SOMEBODY was wearing a certain red jersey -.-

Ah. Another thing. I have to thank you guys for pulling me ALL over Singapore! One outing is in East Coast, another in Kallang, another in Yishun etc. Thanks to you guys I have travelled to areas in Singapore that I would otherwise have little chance to visit. I didn't even know what Northpoint is. ._.

Well, for those of you who have started school, hope you guys are having fun! If you treat examinations as your friend, it won't feel that bad! ........okay forget it, I don't even think that's possible.

For those of you who are waiting for results.... 11th Jan is D-Day. Good or bad, try not to regret it. No use crying over spilt milk. The best you can do is to learn from your mistakes and try again. After all, it took Edison 1000 tries to get the light bulb. PERSEVERE, PEOPLE! Regret is a poison, repentance is said to be its cure.

Taking exams easy, it's at results where the real challenge is. RAAAHHHH.

OKAY I'm bordering on downright cliche and sappy writings. Better stop before all hell breaks loose. Haha.

Hello all. Hopefully, most of u got the msg I sent out on facebook. I shall be the bad person now and tell everyone that I have to, again, cancel the outing.

No, it's not that I don't want to meet up with you guys. But it's because of this-most parents will not allow you guys to come out for an outing because they want you to concerntrate on your O's this year. So... I have come to a conclusion that, at the end of the year, when most of you have done your O levels, then I shall pick a date where everyone is free and we shall have an outing! :)

Doesn't that sound much better? And I'm sure by that time, most of your parents won't nag at you saying that you guys can't go out cuz you have to study. Am i right, or am i right? ;)

Hello Charlie:D I'm here to natter away endlessly about trivial stuff just to liven this place up. Haha.

My results for midyears suck lah! 2Es, 2Ds, 3Bs, 2As. -.- annoying lah! E8 for chinese and geog, D7 for amath and SShist, B4 for eng, B3 for chem and physics and A1 for bio and math.

HONESTLY my teacher is soooo biased:( i won't say which subject but i was lacking 0.8 marks more to move up a grade. And I asked my teacher to help me find that one freaking mark but she REFUSED. Then later another one of my friends (prefect, loveable, interactive in class) went to ask her for the exact same thing and guess what, my teacher HELPED her. AND SHE MOVED UP A GRADE TOO. WHAT THE... -.-

Sigh. I have no idea why i'm even telling you my marks lol. Oh well...

Boom boom pow by BEP is soooo nice:D I was singing the fergie part in school and my friends all think i'm weird. I sing in the shower too:D hahaha.

THE WEEKEND IS FINALLY HERE!!!!!

Realisation just sunk in about 2 hours ago. Yes I know i'm very slow. Hahahaha.

Just wondering, are your exams in the hall or in class? Mine are in the hall again. They switch on the aircon. Which makes my lips so super dry that they cracked:(

Has anyone played DragonFable? It rocks! :D and no i'm not being childish. This thing is more addidctive than neopets. LOL.

Today, for my geog exam, I chose a question which had the only topic i didn't study for. Hahahaha. I found the question easy so I guessed everything :D we shall see if this brave venture succeeds soon enough. But honestly la, studying geog is easy. It's the questions that are hard. OH and for my SS paper, we were tested on altogether 4 themes. I studied 2, and the 2 I studied both came out:) I'm gloating. Hahaha sorry. But I was sooooo happy when I flipped open the paper! :D

So, have all of you been healthy so far? Swine flu is near, I can feel it. Hahahaha joking. But I hope that if it has to come to Singapore, please come while we're having our O levels and not any other time. Okay okay okay? THANKS. ;)

Oh what are you guys learning in bio now? I've just started learning about genetics:D The DNA backbone is made up of alternating sugar and phosphate molecules. The 4 bases, adenosine, cytosin, guanine and thymin, are bonded by hydrogen bonding. Cytosin (C) and guanine (G) are paired with each other as they have a triple hydrogen bond while adenosine (A) and guanine (G) are paired with each other because they have a double hydrogen bond.

I had my PBB test today o.O (PBB is highest award in GB) and I saw Sheena and Isabel:D Sheena ah. You came late! XD Hahaha okay so I was at GBHQ 1.5h early cos my father had to send my brother to school (which happened to be very close to GBHQ) at 830 since his scouts starts at that time ._.

Anyway to pass I have to get 75%! Dang. I counted and I think i might fail by like one mark. Which just totally sucks, of course.

Benefits of Common Tests
Though it may seem like a deliberate ploy to heap on the stress on our already-stretched minds, common tests are actually beneficial to most students. Common tests help students prepare their minds for upcoming exams which are of the utmost importance. Students are more prepared on how to answer questions in exam-format. Thus, when the important exams are upon them, the probability of them panicking is much lower as compared to those who happily laze throughout the whole year without the added stress of these tests.

Also, common tests provide a means for students to constantly revise the topics learnt. Studies have shown that the more times daily work is revised, the more likely information is able to stay in the student's mind. This could be a crucial working factor when students start intensive studying for their examinations. Instead of having to relearn the whole syllabus for all subjects, students would only need to read through to refresh their memories.

The benefits of common tests greatly outweigh the detrimental effects. In the long run, students' performance would be much better. Doing better in their exams would guarantee a brighter future for the student, and allow that student to lead a better life. All in all, common tests are beneficial.

Common tests suck la. AS IF WE HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO. Our science common tests are like, 7-9 pages long and we're supposed to do it in 40 MINUTES. 35 marks in 40 minutes, HOW TO FINISH? I only know of ONE person who finished her physics paper, and a freaking lot of people didnt finish their bio paper.. and crap tomorrow is chemistry -.-

And I have to do 7 chinese compos by TOMORROW while somehow finding time to study for CHEM and HISTORY. WTF?! Oh, and throw in 5 math worksheets due by thursday. Best part is, they don't even cancel cca-.- And my cca teachers are seriously pms-ing can. Every single little thing must nag until we're saturated... I've been lectured/nagged/talked to SO MANY TIMES by so many freaking teachers that I am word-perfect in giving a lecture. Seriously. If you ever need a professional nagger pls contact Tsoi.

Oh yeah. Another thing. There's this hospital called st. luke's hospital and it's for the elderly. A bed costs $200 a night. Currently, the government is heavily subsidising the beds as most of the elderly cannot pay. The government only provides subsidy for 2 months. But there are some patients who have been in the hospital for over 5 months. The hospital really doesn't want to turn them out on the streets just because they can't afford payment. So they absorbed the costs of the patients.. And last year they had a deficit of about $2 million.. My school is raising funds this year for them and I'm appealing to all of you to help. Although it is economic recession now, spare a thought for the terminally ill people please..

OUTING.

We didn't take as much photos as I thought we'd take. In the end, sau couldn't come for the outing. Alex didn't reply my msges. So there were us; Vivian, Marcus Giam, Marcus Sng, Sean(YES, SEAN!), Brandon, Joe, Clarence, Peiling and myself.(:

Honestly, it was quite boring in the beginning. And then everyone started to suan me. And I guess, everyone started having fun from there. Played concentration, and I had to do a dare lah. Sng too. But I don't know why Sean didn't do. I guess we all forgot.

After a while, we decided, since sau couldn't come, why not we go to her! And so we did. We ventured to the botanical gardens looking for the other end of it to sauyee's house. haha. Stupid Brandon just had to throw the ice down my back. haix. =\

That was an awkward moment there. AWKWARD, I tell you!!

After we have successfully found sauyee's house, we went in. AND WE CRASHED IT! okay, we didn't. We were angels in her house. (: Well, that's about what happened uh.. yesterday.

Next outing well. We'll see if there will be one.(: Study hard ah people. O levels are this year heh! :D

That white top, those jeans. The crowd standing near each other. Everyone's dancing. I'm not. We're not. I stand beside my group of friends thinking, 'why do people come here?' It isn't hot like people say it would be. And then again, maybe it's cuz I wasn't dancing. They look at me. With those cheeky eyes. I quickly turn away everytime. That friend keeps pulling me in, but no, I always say. The fog. The loud music. I didn't get a drink. My throat was dry after all the laughing, all the gawking at people and mocking at how they dance. It was tiring just standing and bobbing to the music. The music was too loud it made my ears hurt. I felt awkward at first. But after, it was all okay. No more heels to these places. Comfortable shoes are a must. 18, you must be. Wobbly, I was at the end of the night.

You know I recently visited other Natcamp Group Blogs and guess what? We are the one and only group who updates regularly/tags regularly :D :D :D

Oh, and tomorrow will be the one month anniversary of our chalet outing. The Epic Outing. HAHAHA.

Oh well. I've changed the blog music again. This time, it's not on auto-play. So you have to go and click the Play button to play the music. Because it's kind of annoying when you're listening to other music and suddenly some random blog music starts playing. Hahahaha.

How has school been? Today I had a chinese common test and the very smart teachers just HAD to hold it in the auditorium. The tables there are smaller than A4 size! And just my luck, I got the spoilt one. So, I propped my legs up on the chair in front of mine (no one sits in that row). Halfway through, this chinese teacher walked past, saw my feet and went HAIYO!!! And gestured at me to put my feet down. And I was like, TABLE SPOIL LA. And I found it so freaking funny that I couldn't stop giggling for a minute. Considering it was during a test... HAHAH. The people beside me were also laughing. Luckily, the laughter didn't spread or we'd be dead meat.

Oh and during Bio I was so tired that I was falling asleep while writing. It was so bad that my hand coordination was sunk and I couldn't even write LETTERS. I was just drawing curly lines all over my paper! And I didn't even notice because my eyes were half closed. Then suddenly my friend grabbed my hand and said OI! You can copy from me later la!!! And I jerked awake and realised that I was writing nonsense. This isn't the first time this has happend though. When I was in NZ the same thing happened. See if you can read what I wrote:

I tend to cross stuff out a lot. Because I wake up a few seconds later and see that I've written rubbish. Then I'll fall asleep while writing AGAIN. The cycle repeats.

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA. Yes.

Hahahaha the 3-day IMCB workshop that I went to was SUPER FUN! :D

Oh well. I miss my friends! Hahahaha. On the 3rd day, COINCIDENTALLY, I wore the same shirt as 2 other people -.- (OBS black polo tee) It was so funny! HAHAHA.

HAHHAHAHAHAHA THE MOST AMUSING THING JUST HAPPENED.

Cos there is a contact list with the emails of all the people in the workshop. So I just added everyone on msn even though I didn't fully know everyone. I mean, I know the face but dunno the name. So after a while this person talked to me and asked who I was. Then we were going through the introductory phase. I looked up the person's name in the contact list and realised that it was a name which could belong to either a guy or a girl. And I couldn't exactly go, are you a boy or a girl? LOL. So I ended up having got to ask that person to show me a pic of him/herself.. Then he/she told me which bench he/she was at. And I managed to confirm that he/she was a guy. LOL. Oh well. Then I was like, are you the tanner one or the ligher one? LOL.

Oh well. Turns out he is the one on the first row (people who are kneeling) second one from the right. LOL.

Oh and the guy on the extreme right is my lab partner.. Yes.

Why am I even saying all these stuff here? LOL.

OH OH OH you know the compo which I typed out here on the post dated 7 Jan? Yes. Guess how much I got? 24/30! ... ... ... Francel says I should be happy with that. Heh. I want higher lah! But nevermind. I shall be content with what I have :)

Here for some workshop on Bacteria Quorum sensing. Not really sure what that is.... Haha the workshop starts at 9 but I got here at 8 -.- so...... They let us use the computer terminals :D

AHHH. Today is my school's parents briefing. So when I go home tonight my parents are going to go ON AND ON ABOUT EXAMS/HW. Dieeeee.

And uhm I have to go and do my chem homework. All my homework is freaking piling up because I haven't been in school for 3 days :(

I'm supposed to be doing my homework now. SO I SHALL DO IT HERE:D

I have to write a compo by the way. Heh. So get ready for more dramatics from my very weird/wild imagination.

BTW this compo was supposed to be a test. But then the teacher said we could do it after school. It was due today but I totally forgot about it since I had CCA after school HEH. So.. I'll probably kena scolding. BUT OH WELL. Better late than never. :D

There was a horrified scream as a masked killer rushed into a hardware store brandishing a gun. Without a word, he pointed the gun around the room in one sweeping motion and fired at the ceiling to get everyone's attention. The silence was so great, it pressed against the people's eardrums. The tension in the room was palpable.

All eyes were on the masked man, who was wearing a black polo t-shirt and jeans. They all knew very well who this man was thanks to loads of coverage from newspapers, television and even "Wanted" posters. They knew what he would do next. They were not disappointed.

He took out a small black box draped with wires and placed it on a table nearby. Next, he took out a small device which resembled a remote control. Staring at each of the people who were frozen in place, he declared, "If anybody tries to stop me, I will detonate this bomb."

Just a few days ago, the press had reported that the bomb was fake, but nobody was willing to take a chance just then. After all, the press could have been wrong. In addition, the semi-automatic machine gun was still gripped in his hands.

When he was assured that no one was willing to challenged him, his posture relaxed somewhat. With slow and deliberate movements, he opened the cash box and took the money from the register. After that, he walked around the store, methodically seizing various merchandise from the shelves and putting it into his haversack.

A crowd had gathered outside the store. Some people were in tears. Most were white with shock. A cold pit of dread settled in their stomachs as they knew what would happen next.

He finished taking stuff from the shelves and strode back to where the black box was. Then, with movements so slick it seemed inhumane, he whipped up his gun. Everyone held their breath as a single thought ran through everyone's mind: Who would be his next victim?

His eye glinting, he aimed the gun at a small boy of about 6 years in age, the muzzle resting on the child's forehead. Suddenly, a roar erupted from behind him, causing him to lose his aim and fire instead at a wall. Furious, he turned around, only to see an enraged father hurl a bucket full of paint at him. The cover popped off and paint immediately drenched him from head to toe. Needless to say, the killer was hopping mad. He pointed the gun at the man and squeezed the trigger.

Nothing happened - the paint had damaged the gun!

The killer panicked. Grabbing his haversack, he barrelled his way through the astonished crowd, jumped into a car and drove off.

The store soon became a scene of total chaos. The police in their gleaming cars arrived, sirens blaring at top volume. The hardware store was quickly roped off to prevent curious bystanders from ruining any evidence. Everyone noticed the killer's bright orange footprints leading away from the store.

Paint samples, photos and bullets were taken. note: i am next to clueless when it comes to ranks in the police force so don't kill me if i get this part inaccurate XD Corporal David Cook was assigned the task of reporting all the findings to Inspector Chris Daughtry. As Insp. Daughtry had called in sick, Cpl. Cook had to visit him at his house.

Cpl. Cook was determined to catch this killer even if it was the last thing he did, simply because 5 innocent people had lost their lives because of him.

As Cpl. Cook trudged up the driveway of Insp. Daughtry's house, he noticed that several shrubs had leaves with an orange tinge to it. Mildly interested, he bent down to have a closer look. He realised that the orange tinge came from paint!

Rather puzzled at this coincidence, he plucked one leaf, put it into a plastic bag and sealed it. Gut instinct as well as training prompted him to do so. He then continued up the driveway. When he reached the door, he was about to open it when he discovered that the doorknob was smeared with orange point too. That was when he noticed that there were orange tracks all around the place!

By this time, alarm bells were ringing in his head. The killer could be somewhere near! He gasped as he realised that the killer could even be inside the Inspector's house! The Inspector was in danger! Driven by his desire to arrest the killer, he burst through the door and sprinted into the house.

The house was very neat. Not a stick of furniture was out of place. Everything was spotlessly clean, except for the wooden floor. Orange tracks were all over the place. A bulging haversack lay at the side of the room. Fearing the worst, he raced into the kitchen.

The Inspector was sitting at the breakfast table, sipping coffee. He was wearing a blue bathrobe. He jumped as Cpl. Cook entered the kitchen. His coffee cup rattled and half its contents sloshed onto the Inspector. But all this did not matter a bit to Cpl. Cook - he was staring at the Inspector's sneakers, which were still covered with wet, bright orange paint.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, YALL.

It's a new year, a new beginning. For some of us.(: This year, for most of you, being the 16th year of your life.. will also be the year when u have your O's/N's. And this year, it will be a whole lot of fun!

Of course there's the part where school always sucks. But think about it. You are with your friends! Friends whom you've known for quite a while now. Some even up to 10 years! So. No matter how hard or how tough or how annoying your teacher/homework/principle gets, make school fun. Because by the time you reach 20, or 30, or 40, you think about how you spent your secondary school days. And for some, you might regret not being in the 'popular' crowd, or others, you might think 'heh. I should've been in the drama club.' haha. Well, you know what I mean.

Make your last year(for some) in secondary school a year of so much fun! Take as much hilarious photos as you can. And when you're old and wrinkley, you can show them to your grandchildren and tell them stories of yourself when you were their age. Hehe!(:

All those grudges you've been holding on to, throw them away. You don't want enemies in life, do u? You don't like a particular girl in your school? That's your problem. But if she's ever hurt your feelings or talk bad about you to other people, don't go doing the same thing to her and start talking to your friends about her. Cuz that's like what she did to you! Just go up to her, buy a bubble tea, look for a nice comfy place to sit at and talk. That way you can resolve everything. If she doesn't like what you said to her, don't worry. She'll think about what you said and then, realize that what you said actually makes sense.
And in the end, you will be good good friends! (:

A few of us were thinking of having study groups next year. (The new year is coming in less than 24 hours o_O)

Most probably during the weekends. Saturday or Sunday? Because some people have remedials and such during the weekdays..

3) Sunday mornings
4) Sunday afternoons

I'm voting for 4 :D because GB national events are always on Saturdays, so most GB girls aren't free.. And Sunday mornings some people have Church.
